ADDITIONAL INFO
A silver plate with an inscription "מדינת ישראל" (Hebrew for "State of Israel"). The bottom of the plate is marked with several marks: the artist’s signature "ל.ג" (L.G), "כסף" (Hebrew for silver), 833 and the Hebrew letter "מ" with the number 16 inside it. The artist remains unknown although some suggest that L.G stands for Louis Greenberg, who created in Israel from the 1930s to the 1960s.
The center of the plate is illustrated with a map of the land of Israel and the flag of the State of Israel. Around the central engraving - a floral and geometrical pattern.
Decorative plates, such as this item, were made in honor of the declaration of the State of Israel in 1948.
