The Sharar Workshop was one of the workshops that operated in the Bezalel School of Art. The workshops were external subsidiaries, operating under the auspices of the Bezalel school and their products were defined as Bezalel crafts. Many of the artisans who worked in the workshops, including Sharar, were teachers, students, or graduates of the Bezalel School of Art. The Sharar group specialized in filigree works, repoussé work in brass, copper, and silver, etching, and engraving.
